Network Plus and GTM attend Manchester Pride

We believe that creating a supportive, diverse and inclusive environment for all our teams is critical to our overall success as a company. After hearing feedback from our colleagues, it was decided that this year was the year to launch our LGBTQ+ forum. Our forum taught us many things about how we can better support them at work. We attended the parade in support of them and the right to love whoever you want, without prejudice.

The day was filled with laughter, love, acceptance and joy! We joined the parade for the first time ever alongside our sister companies, Go Traffic Management Limited (GTM) Ltd and Network Plus Multi Utility.

We walked side by side with our clients United Utilities and Cadent Gas Limited, as well as our ever-growing LGBTQ+ community from our UK-wide contracts and departments. Together, we stand strong! The atmosphere was electric – filled with music, dancing, and an overwhelming sense of joy and acceptance. 

Our float, decked out to the nines, was driven by none other than Ryan Fleming from our Manchester GTM team and Gary Owens from our reinstatement team who gave us a beautiful tune on their horns as we marched through the centre of town.

Our supplier P.F. Cusack supplied us with bespoke Rainbow Network Plus branded PPE – thank you to Ashley Houghton our Head of Procurement for arranging this.

The LGBTQ+ forum and chat were launched earlier this year. It was an absolute blast and the group are already busy planning for next year… bring on the glitter!
