Women in Network Plus: more progress in 2024

As the Women In Network Plus (WIN+) group’s Autumn Roadshow reaches the West Country, it’s time to reflect on another significant year for the network.

WiN+ has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2021, with nearly 250 members now sharing their industry knowledge, ideas and workplace solutions.

And this year, with the new government requiring large employers to produce menopause action plans, Network Plus’s Menopause Mums Group launched the company’s own Menopause Policy – following up on a pledge made on International Women’s Day. The Menopause Support Group is now one of a number of groups within the WIN+ network.

Through the Working Mums Group, all managers now have access to Antenatal/Postnatal and Maternity roadmaps to help them understand the key milestones of colleagues who are pregnant or returning to work.

At Network Plus, International Women’s Day (and the month of March more widely) gave WIN+ members a platform to raise awareness of issues around gender inequality, reproductive rights and abuse against women. And a feature of roadshow events throughout the month was the presence of Network Plus PPE supplier Cusack, who showcased their new and well-received women’s range.

Network Plus Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Fowlie, says:
“We are developing a culture at Network Plus which allows everybody to be at their very best in the workplace. WIN+ is an integral part of this and helps make us the leading utility services partner to so many clients throughout the UK.”

Bristol is the final stop on the network’s Autumn Roadshow, which has also brought together women from across the business in Derby and Manchester. Former Royal Air Force pilot Mandy Hickson, once the only female pilot on her frontline Tornado Squadron, is the guest speaker.
