Kevin Fowlie: Chief Executive
Kevin came to Network Plus in 2023, bringing with him two decades of utilities industry experience in a variety of senior roles in both contractor and client organisations. He joined the Network Plus leadership team in 2023 as Managing Director (Water) and assumed his present role in 2024.

Sam Atherton: Chief Strategy Officer
With extensive senior management experience, Sam is responsible for strategy, market analysis and all areas of the company’s business growth, including bidding and acquisitions. He has extensive experience across the utilities industry and has supported the on-going growth of the business since 2017.

Laura Barr: Contract Director (North West and East Midlands CMOs)
Joined Network Plus in 2025 after six years at Openreach, where she developed a robust skill that includes business transformation, client relationship management, software project management and service delivery. Holds a Postgraduate Diploma in IT.

Dave Bond: HR Director
Experienced HR professional who over the course of four years with Network Plus has nurtured the growth of a culture which allows everybody to be at their very best in the workplace. Dave is helping make Network Plus the leading utility services partner to many clients throughout the UK and the employer of choice for colleagues and candidates alike.

Dan Burgess: Contract Director (Bristol Water, South West Water)
Began his career with Wessex Water, graduating through its commercial programme before successfully leading the commercial function for the internal construction division through AMP6. An effective Network Plus leader and confident communicator, Dan is utilised as part of wider business initiatives such as bid/tender exercises and transformation programmes.

Mike Cafferky: Managing Director
With three decades of experience in Highways, Construction, and Infrastructure, Mike has been leading Network Plus's Transport business as MD since 2024. His areas of focus include traffic management, arboriculture, landscaping, barrier and security fencing. Mike is working on introducing these new services, to enhance the company's offerings and strengthen its customer base.

With over 30 years’ experience in leading and managing large scale operations to deliver utility services within the UK, Carl is an exemplar of industry best practice. His leadership style galvanises and motivates, driving change through collaboration and measurable improvement – often in problematic areas.

Joe Elding: IT Director
Joe has a passion for excellence and an excellent track record in business for delivering IT strategy and solutions in business. This includes seven successful years with Network Plus, where he has developed an extensive background in building IT teams to support businesses through rapid growth, and designing and delivering enterprise technology.

Victoria Grayson: Support Services Director
A leader with more than 20 years’ experience in utilities and infrastructure, Victoria specialised in contract management, operational transformation and business improvement before taking on her current role. It’s a role which encompasses HSEQ, customer strategy, sustainability, innovation, and risk and insurance, as well as new contract mobilisations.

Simon Horrocks: Contract Director (GTM)
Joined GTM in January 2023, starting initially as Commercial Director having previously been Senior Commercial Manager with Network Plus. Before then, Simon was a director with a water sub-contractor & commercial management consultancy. Previous experience includes working across multiple workstreams in utilities across the gas, water and electric sectors for client, main and sub-contractors.

Ellen Ludwig: HSEQ Group Director
Came to Network Plus in January 2024, having previously been Head of Safety & Fire Safety at Manchester Airport. Ellen began her career in health and safety at Rolls Royce in 2001 – a career which has also included appointments in local government, BAE Systems and Electricity North West.

James Maitland: Chief Commercial Officer/Managing Director
A vastly experienced commercial director, who was previously head of commercial with infrastructure service business Amey before joining Network Plus in 2018. James has since thrived in a number of roles, including as MD of the company’s energy & telecoms division, before taking on his present role earlier this year.

Ian Nelmes: Contract Director (NGED)
With over 35 years in the overhead line industry, Ian boasts a robust skill set that includes contract management, safety management systems and building maintenance. Ian has been with Network Plus since 2020, having previously enjoyed seven years as accounts director with Amey.

Graeme Petrie: Contract Director (ENW, SPEN)
Came to Network Plus in 2017, having previously been a project manager at SPIE UK. A BSc graduate of the University of Strathclyde, Graeme’s outstanding skillset also includes significant operations management experience gained from spells at Leven Energy Services and Enterprise Plc working on both gas and electric sectors.
Mike Porter: Chief Financial Officer
Qualified as an accountant with PWC before enjoying 18 years in the water industry (United Utilities, Northumbrian Water) and 11 years in contracting (Shepherd Built Environment and NG Bailey). Mike joined Network Plus as Chief Financial Officer in 2024, bringing extensive experience from both client and contractor roles, and an invaluable skillset.

Dave Prescott: Managing Director
A qualified account, Dave’s rich and varied career in the utilities industry meant that he brought vast commercial and operational experience to Network Plus in 2022 – essential as he now has responsibility for the company’s gas, power and water operations.
Steve Squire: Contract Director (Severn Trent Water)
A seasoned contract director with an impressive 32 years in the industry, Steve brings to the business a wealth of knowledge in telecoms, electric, water and gas. Throughout his career, Steve has demonstrated exceptional expertise and leadership in managing complex contracts and operations. Currently, he holds responsibility for the suite of Severn Trent contracts as well as South Staffs Water.

Neil Thorbinson: Supply Chain Director
Experienced supply chain director with many years’ experience in the utilities industry – 18 of them with Network Plus, whom he joined as head of procurement in 2007. Neil is highly skilled in negotiation, procurement and supplier relationship management.

Dave Trotter: Managing Director (STW Metering)
More than 30 years’ experience in operations since starting his career as a supervisor and progressing through key operational management roles, Dave has been with Network Plus since 2019. He’s worked in a number of sectors, including highways, FM and defence, and with various utilities. An experienced leader with an excellent track record of establishing high performing teams, Dave has a genuine passion for safety, customer satisfaction and delivery.

Tim Turner: Contract Director (Thames Water, Affinity Water, SSEN)
With 20 years’ experience in the utilities industry, Tim has overall responsibility for all contract delivery in the South East of England (water, power, gas, fibre) having joined Network Plus in 2024. He’s previously enjoyed senior roles at PBSOL and United Utilities, among others, and is a specialist in business transformation and performance management.
