Network Plus engineers helped transform a school staff room in Cumbria

service plus

It is great to see the Network Plus teams in Carlisle gain thanks and recognition for volunteering to transform a school staff room at Petteril Bank Community School.

Working with our client Electricity North West, as well Johnstone’s Paint and Howdens, our engineers removed a kitchen, and all other furniture in the staff room ready for a new kitchen to be installed. They repaired a leaking outdoor hut so it could be used again and tidied up an outdoor play area creating more room for the children to play. Network Plus teams also donated a coffee machine to help complete the transformation.

We are extremely proud of the work we do as a company to contribute to the local communities in which we operate. It is fantastic to know we have had a positive impact.

Joseph Askew, headteacher at Petteril Bank Community School, said “The projects completed around the school are fantastic. I am so heartened by the generosity extended to us by our new friends in the city, we were approached by the Give a Day to the City team and asked what would make a difference and the transformation really has. Volunteers from all three firms worked tirelessly and I cannot thank them all enough.

“I’ve no doubt all the staff at Petteril Bank will love their new facility and the children can safely take advantage of the new outdoor space.”

Jo Crinson, Electricity North West’s head of customer contact and who helped head up the project, said “We’re really pleased with the outcome of the new staff room and outdoor area.”
