Network Plus will have two shots at glory at this year’s prestigious Women in Utilities Awards.

Organised by Utility Week in partnership with the Womens Utility Network (WUN), the awards pay tribute to the remarkable achievements of women in the utilities sector – and the organisations and individuals who champion them.

Women in Network Plus (WIN+) are shortlisted for Women’s Network of the Year, while one network member, Support Services Director Victoria Grayson, is a finalist for Woman of the Year.

HR Director and WIN+ board sponsor, Dave Bond, says:

“Making the shortlist is a significant achievement in itself – a testimony to the hard work and relentless commitment of everybody involved with WIN+ since its inception in 2022.

“Since then, the network has grown from its original 35 to more than 300 active members, expanding its horizons, raising its ambitions, fostering inclusivity and driving positive change.

“WIN+ members have developed authentic and sustainable solutions to real life issues, impacting gender inclusivity at all stages of the employee lifecycle. We’ve seen issues such as barriers to career development in operational roles in particular, maternity benefits, networking, menopause awareness and a one-size-fits-all approach to PPE all addressed through the energy of network members. Good luck to all of them on the night.”

64 organisations from across the energy and water sectors have made the final cut.

Commenting on the quality of this year’s entries, Karen Anderson, programme development manager at WUN, said:

“The standard of nominations was exceptional, showcasing the depth of talent, innovation and impact women, allies and organisations are having right across the sector. We’re proud to celebrate your achievements and look forward to recognising your contributions at the awards ceremony.”

The second annual Women in Utilities Awards takes place at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, on 27 June. Details of all the finalists are available at: https://www.womeninutilitiesawards.co.uk/welcome/finalists_2025
