Network Plus is a finalist at WWT’s Water Industry Awards 2020!
The water industry relies on its contractors and supply chain partners to drive forward best practice in construction, innovate techniques and sustainability, while maintaining high health and safety and employment standards. We have been shortlisted for this award based on our demonstration of a combination of commercial success, agenda-setting innovation, environmental stewardship and workforce best practice.
Read below to find out the criteria and high standards we have met to be a finalist in record entry year of the WWT’s Water Industry Awards.
Growth has been achieved following the award of a number of long-term frameworks with UK utility and infrastructure companies. Network Plus has successfully demonstrated to clients that it is possible to offer a business model which combines compelling commercial rates, excellent value for money as well as agile, innovative services.
We’re continually seeking ways to improve our commitment to the environment and sustainability. Some examples of ground-breaking successes including our award from Streetworks UK for trialling the use of recycled plastic in tarmac (MR8) and ongoing investment in recycling solutions; we aim to recycle up to 97% of excavated materials.
Our people are at the heart of our business; following significant growth our workforce has nearly doubled to over 2,400. We’ve made significant investments in attraction, retention and employee engagement. Examples include:
• Major apprenticeship programme
• Armed Forces Covenant award to attract ex-Armed forces personnel
• Youth justice programme
• Graduate programme
• Strengthened our attraction strategy to promote greater diversity
• We have invested in significant levels of training
• We support employee vocational courses (degree, masters and vocational qualifications)
We’re now waiting for the Award ceremony in July and are keeping our fingers crossed for a successful outcome.
