merrions wood

We have been carrying out the installation of new water mains on behalf of South Staffordshire Water in Merrions Wood, an ancient woodland situated in grade II listed parkland. The wood is home to a variety of protected species.  We received a great thank you letter from ‘Friends of Merrions Wood’ – a group set up to promote and protect the local nature reserve.

“The scheme has long-term benefits for residents in our local area.   As a retired building surveyor, I observed that that project was well managed and carefully executed by South Staffordshire Water and the main contractor, Network Plus.  Can you pass on our thanks to Network Plus and in particular, their project manager, Emmett and site manager, Luke.”

A donation was made to the friends group by South Staffordshire Water and Network Plus to fund the planting of 4,500 daffodil bulbs and installation of 20 bird boxes, which will leave a lasting legacy in the ancient woodland for many years to come.
