We are delighted to announce the award of a long term contract with Scottish Power Energy Networks for the provision of wood pole overhead lines services. The framework will see Network Plus extend its current Wood Pole Overhead Line portfolio with SPEN, having secured work across two of the largest areas in the Manweb licence area, covering Mid Wales and Dee Valley Oswestry.
The contract is due to commence on 1st June 2021 and typical overhead line works will include modernisation activities (rebuild, refurbishment, defect clearance), customer driven works such as connections, diversions and reinforcements as well as other investments including reinforcement and visual amenity.
The scope of works consists of:
- LV/11/33kV Modernisation
- LV/11/33kV New Build
- ESQCR Hazard and Defect Removal at all Voltages
- Customer and Reactive Works
- Emergency Storm Response
- Fault response within 2 hours (during and out of hours)
- Support of strategic standby cover for SPEN
Network Plus will be responsible for all aspects of the works including work programming, planning, community engagement, land-owner access, outage planning, traffic management and highway management.
