Peter Emery, an experienced former energy industry executive, is to be the new non-executive Chair of Network Plus.
Currently Chair of Greater Manchester’s Energy Innovation Agency, Peter held board positions at Drax Group, Capture Power and, most recently, at Electricity North West before retiring as chief executive in 2022. He also holds non-executive director positions at Europe’s leading energy transition business, Adven, and the UK energy-from-waste business Enfinium.
Network Plus Chief Executive, Kevin Fowlie, says:
“I am delighted, on behalf of everybody at Network Plus, to welcome Peter to the board. He brings a wealth of experience that will be extremely beneficial to fellow non-executive board members, our senior leadership group and the entire business.
Customer service is a major priority for Network Plus and, as CEO of Electricity North West, Peter led significant improvements in customer and stakeholder engagement. His record on energy transition and sustainability, another Network Plus priority, is second to none and will add further impetus to our sustainability goals.”
Non-executive board members provide independent oversight of leadership, strategy and performance at Network Plus, and guidance in key areas such as senior appointments, remuneration and standards.
