Network Plus wins at the Procurement Skills Accord Awards 2021

double awards

The Network Plus team was recognised at a virtual awards ceremony today, hosted by the Energy & Utilities Skills Partnership. We were one of 43 energy and utilities and supply chain companies that successfully passed their audits to win the coveted Procurement Skills Accord Awards for 2020/2021.

The Procurement Skills Accord (PSA) is a national initiative from the Energy & Utilities Skills Partnership to encourage increased investment in targeted training and skills across the supply chain. In its fourth year, the initiative is supported by 56 signatories, and we are proud to be a signatory organisation, working collaboratively with the sector to drive investment in skills and make changes in procurement practises.

The awards were hosted by Phil Beach CBE, CEO of Energy & Utility Skills, and featured speakers Kevin Fowlie (Commercial, Engineering & Capital Delivery Director at United Utilities and Chair of the EUSP Delivery Board) and Peter Bingham (Chief Engineer at Ofgem). 43 companies were presented with an award for their pioneering efforts to transform investment in technical and operational skills.

Stuart Fraser, Joint CEO at Network Plus says “Tackling skills shortages is the responsibility of everyone within our industry. To work collaboratively throughout our supply chain and beyond is key to building a resilient and sustainable workforce for the energy and utilities industry. It is an honour to be awarded the Procurement Skills Accord Award in recognition of our hard work.”
