Network Plus has been awarded silver on the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme, acknowledging its outstanding support for the Armed forces community

Network Plus is delighted to have been recognised for the continued support it provides to the military community.

A vital part of its corporate responsibility strategy, the team at Network Plus have put the defence community right at the heart of its approach. From attending recruitment fairs and active employment, through to being forces-friendly in how it operates. The team always ensures that its workforce is aware of its positive policies towards the Service Personnel community as well as advocating support to partner organisations, suppliers and customers.

Network Plus also has established Armed Forces Network, made up of veterans, reservists and serving family members. This Network helps the company shape their approach and policies and inputs into how it can continuously improve.

Commenting on the announcement of the 2021 Employer Recognition Scheme Silver awards; Minister for Defence People and Veterans, Leo Docherty said:
“I would like to thank all the organisations who have proven their support for the Defence community during such unprecedented and challenging times. The vast range of those recognised this year demonstrates how employing the Armed Forces community makes a truly positive and beneficial impact for all employers, regardless of size, sector or location.”

Vicky Doran, Regional Employer Engagement Director at the North West of England and the Isle of Man Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (NW RFCA), said:

“On behalf of the Ministry of Defence we are honoured to be able to recognise the support and commitment given to the Armed Forces Covenant by employers in the region, through the Employer Recognition Scheme awards. Each recipient has demonstrated not only that they support the Covenant and the Armed Forces community, but also that they are prepared to support their Reservists, Service Leavers, Veterans and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers in the workplace.”

David Bond, Human Resources Director at Network Plus said,
“We are passionate about easing the transition of this community to civilian life wherever we can. We want to build a supportive environment, give meaningful career opportunities and have a team of people who genuinely care about their welfare and value the immense set of skills often held by those who have served in the Armed Forces.
