Network Plus awarded Gold
Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award

Network Plus has been recognised by the Ministry of Defence for its continued support for the Armed Forces community.

Gold status is the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme’s highest badge of honour. It is awarded to employers who implement HR policies that accommodate the needs of the Armed Forces community, while continuously promoting this advocacy within their own networks and inspiring others across industry.

Being forces-friendly is key to our success as an employer, tapping into talent pools where we believe there are many transferable skills for a career in utilities.

We seek to ensure our workforce is aware of our positive policies towards service personnel, as well as advocating support to partner organisations, suppliers and customers.

We also have an established Armed Forces Network made up of veterans, reservists and serving family members. The network helps further develop and improve our policies and practices.

Network Plus Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Fowlie, says:
“We’re really delighted to be Gold Award holders. It’s really important that we engage with the Armed Forces and be able to redeploy people who bring in transferable skills that fit the utilities environment nicely. This is something that’s really important across our whole organisation.”
