Network Plus awarded a Power contract for Overhead Lines and Vegetation Management by Electricity North West

Network Plus are delighted to be awarded an Overhead Line and Vegetation Management Works Contract with Electricity North West. The contract started August 2020 and will continue until March 2023.

Services will be delivered across the whole of the Electricity North West licence area. We will be undertaking works including the replacement, refurbishment, dismantlement and new connections of overhead line wood poles across the LV, 11kV and 33kV network. In addition, we will be carrying out vegetation management services to ensure overhead lines are clear of obstructions. This includes tree cutting and clearance of vegetation.

To ensure continuity of customers’ supplies, the scope also includes emergency storm response, to support Electricity North West with emergency fault response and vegetation clearances in the event of a storm or extreme weather event.

In delivering these services, we will be responsible for full end-to-end work planning and scheduling, including site surveys, obtaining necessary land-owner consents and wayleaves, planned supply interruptions, customer notification, highway and third-party liaison, traffic management and streetworks noticing and permitting.
