Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks and Network Plus Overhead Lines Project

Recent works have been led by Dane Blake in the Southern Region and project managed by Anthony McGarry and Paul Campbell. The team have carried out essential maintenance work during COVID-19 whilst ensuring customers’  electricity supplies are maintained.

Works were undertaken to upgrade 11kV NIC Poles in the beautiful Overton area of Hampshire, within the South East region of SSEN.

As Principal Contractork, works included replacement of existing timber poles, removal of switches, outage management, ensring access arrangements and consultation with landowners, traffic management, jointing and energisation works.

Project Manager Anthony McGarry said “Works have been conducted to our usual high safety standards; we’ve ensured excellent working practices and necessary permit to work systems are in place.  We’re experienced in overhead lines activities, the work has gone really smoothly.”
