We’d like to take a moment to say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who helped out at the recent career days at Salford University, Bristol University and Manchester College.

Our hosts gave us a platform to highlight our graduate and apprenticeship programmes, and connect with talented students who are eager to get started in the industry.

The importance of our Graduate and Apprenticeship programmes

As we continue to grow, our graduate and apprenticeship programmes are crucial to ensuring a pipeline of skilled and passionate professionals who will help shape the future of Network Plus. These programmes not only allow us to attract young talent, but also provide structured career paths where individuals can develop their skills, gain practical experience and contribute to the company’s success.

Will Pedigrew, Head of Talent Acquistion had this to say about the importance of the programme:

“Bringing new hires into the business is crucial, but what’s even more important is bringing in the next generation of talent to Network Plus and the utilities industry as a whole. This is an industry with immense potential – it’s stable, and there’s significant investment being poured into it in the long haul. The growth of Network Plus depends on bringing in the right people, and we’ve seen countless success stories of individuals starting out as graduate or apprentices and going on to achieve amazing things. These programmes are a key part of our future.”

Nic Owen, Talent Development Advisor, who worked with the universities and colleges to make these events happen, would like to thank everyone for their invaluable contributions. Whether you were speaking with students, answering their questions, or sharing your journey with Network Plus, your enthusiasm and commitment made a real impact.

Special thanks go to: Safiyyah Thurston; Sophie Tully; Kylah Lawson; Grace Pollock: Jason McGowan; Steve Twist; Imogen Jones; Ben Smith and Lewis Ryan who all attended these events
