Network Plus awarded traffic management contract by UK Power Networks
Network Plus, one of the UK’s fastest growing utility and infrastructure providers has been awarded a new 4-year contract to provide Traffic Management Services for UK Power Networks.
The contract, commenced 1 May 2022, includes a number of services ranging from signage, lighting and barrier delivery to assessment of requirements and traffic management plans. Network Plus will work with its sister company GTM Traffic Management to deliver this contract, further expanding the company footprint in the London area.
In the last year, Network Plus has invested significantly in traffic management expertise. This includes the recent acquisition of Capital Traffic Management which currently operates across London and the South of England. The Company plans to leverage this knowledge and traffic management experience to deliver services in the London Power Network area for UK Power Networks.
In recognition of the complexity of delivering traffic management in London, Network Plus will be providing a comprehensive managed transport and logistics service ranging from initial traffic management design, set up of traffic management solutions at UK Power Networks work sites through to full lane or road closures and diversions across London. Network Plus plans to utilise local depot bases to ensure a fast and effective service to UK Power Networks, which keeps electricity supplies flowing to more than eight million homes and businesses across London, the South East and the East of England.
