This Armed Forces Day (27 June), Network Plus is proud to recognise and show our support for serving personnel, veterans, service families and cadets across the Armed Forces community.
Our support, however, goes far beyond a single date in the calendar. Organisations across government, local communities and the business sector continue to demonstrate their commitment to Armed Forces personnel by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.
The Covenant is a promise from the UK Government to ensure that members of the Armed Forces community, including those who have served previously and their families, are not disadvantaged when accessing public or commercial services.
At Network Plus, creating a forces-friendly workplace is central to who we are. In 2024, our dedication to supporting this community was recognised with the prestigious Ministry of Defence (MoD) Gold Award.
One former service member now bringing his experience to Network Plus is Paul Dewan. Paul joined the business in January 2026 as Group Quality Manager and is responsible for external assurance and company accreditations, alongside supporting internal auditing processes.
Paul started his Royal Air Force career in June 2000 as an electrical engineering technician. After completing his training, his first posting was to an electronic warfare tactics range, where he operated air defence equipment to train pilots.

“Although the trades and roles have changed throughout my career, one constant within engineering and cyberspace has been quality. Having audited, coordinated and managed quality systems for the past 15 years in various roles, including completing the MoD Quality Licence Scheme, achieving ISO 9001 lead auditor status and serving in my final role as unit quality manager, it felt like a natural next step to bring this skillset into the workplace.”
Network Plus remains committed to supporting the Armed Forces community and value the unique skills, dedication and experience they bring to the business and the wider industry.
