Network Plus brings jobs to Bradford and Halifax as part of CityFibre’s roll out and £75m private investment in high-speed broadband to the area.

Just over 12 months ago, work began to digitally transform these Yorkshire cities to become connected. The city-wide full fibre network roll-out aims to reach almost every home and business locally, so everyone has access to the fastest, most reliable connectivity available.

The teams at Network Plus are delivering the construction programme for CityFibre and have engineers working in the community every day to install the full fibre network, minimising disruption wherever possible. To date, they have installed over 190,000 meters of fibre in Bradford through a combination of excavating new trenches, alongside utilising the existing underground network, upgrading, and adding to the existing overhead infrastructure.

As work progresses and ramps up, more than 40 opportunities for direct employment or subcontracting have become available.  This is a fantastic boost to the local jobs market and anyone looking for the next step in their telecoms career is encouraged to apply.

Joint Chief Executive of Network Plus, Dan Holland said,

“This is a great opportunity for local, talented telecoms engineers to join us in this significant project being delivered across the Bradford and Halifax areas and we are proud to be contributing to the local economy by providing jobs.

This work will deliver a tangible difference to our customers and the connectivity of their local communities, which makes for a rewarding days work. We would love for you to join us and help deliver a quality service on behalf of CityFibre.”
