Site Supervisor – Newtown, Powys

The Role

Our Supervisor Persons facilitate delivery of contracts on Distribution Networks up to 33kV while providing technical advice to the wider team. You will be involved in all aspects of LV/11kv/33kV construction projects, ESQCR rectification and outage management from planning to commissioning. You will work side-by-side with professional project managers in order to achieve a combined goal to deliver each project safely and on time and to budget. Safe and efficient delivery of works will remain your primary objective.

Main Duties

  • Conduct and review point of work risk assessments on operational sites.
  • Liaise with Project Managers/Sub-Contractors on resource needs for network outages.
  • Promote a positive HS&E culture whilst recommending new initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • To identify improvement activities and training needs and give feedback of findings to senior.
  • Monitoring staff to ensure procedural compliance.
  • Attend and actively contribute to the Health & Safety Initiatives.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request made by your line manager to support departmental or company objectives.
  • Participation in standby roster.
  • Attendance in emergency fault situations

Experience and Qualifications

  • You will have relevant experience working on OH networks
  • Current DNO Authorisation
  • People who lead by example.
  • Commercial awareness
  • People willing to participate and advise management on technical matters.
  • A team player
  • Flexibility
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience on both OH and UG networks up to 33kv.
  • City & Guilds 2339 (formally 2322)
  • People with IOSH Managing Safely qualification
  • NRSWA (supervisor) Qualification
