Planner – Salford 

 

The Role

Our Planner will assist the Project Manager in delivery of contracts on Distribution Networks up to 33kV. You will be involved in all aspects of planning LV/11kv/33kV construction projects, ESQCR rectification and outage management from conception to closure. You will work side-by-side with the Project managers and Supervisor in order to achieve a combined goal to deliver each project safely and on time and within budget. Safe and efficient delivery of works will remain your primary objective.

Main Duties

  • Review outage planning and traffic management requirements.
  • Liaise with Project Managers/Sub-Contractors on resource needs for network outages.
  • Promote a positive HSEQ culture whilst recommending new initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Plan network outages through Scottish Power’s DOP system.
  • Attend and actively contribute to the Health & Safety Initiatives.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request made by your line manager to support departmental or company objectives.
  • Provide assistance in emergency fault situations.

Experience and Qualifications

  • You will have relevant experience working on OHL networks.
  • Someone who is self-driven and can plan their own workload.
  • People who lead by example.
  • Commercial awareness
  • People willing to participate and advise management on technical matters.
  • A team player
  • Flexibility
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience on both OH and UG networks up to 33kv.
  • City & Guilds 2339 (formally 2322)
  • People with IOSH Managing Safely qualification
  • NRSWA (supervisor) Qualification
  • Current DNO Authorisation- Preferable
