Our role

The role of Quantity Surveyor working on the Affinity Water Developer Services & Universal Metering Programme. You will have responsibility for managing the project financials. You will excel at maximising cost efficiencies with a firm focus on maintaining high standards and quality. You will deliver desired margin return utilising high standards of commercial acumen. Whilst identifying, recording and tracking, both risks and opportunities. Strong Excel skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

You will be commercially responsible for project costs of up to £20m

You will maximise project value and minimise cost; ensuring that appropriate controls are in place to monitor and manage the operating cost base

You will work with the operational teams to deliver and manage performance against commercial targets

You will manage commercial performance against business targets and Framework KPI’s

You will review contract documents and advise on any issues

You will produce and review commercial forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs) and Project Finance Reports

You will take overall responsibility for Subcontract Management; including Subcontract Forecasting, raising Subcontractor Orders and Negotiating Subcontract terms

You will be responsible for the management of the change control process, risk and value management

You will attend risk review, progress and commercial meetings on-site with the Client

You will manage tenders and pricing; negotiating and managing expectations of suppliers and subcontractors

You will work with the operational team in daily commercial and contractual aspects to ensure objectives are aligned and contractual compliancy requirements are met
