Job Description

Our Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will predominantly be working on our Low Voltage Services Framework. You will manage the general maintenance of commercial information for the contract satisfying the needs of all stakeholders including the customer, internal and external interfaces in terms of reporting contract commercial performance. You will be expected to process the information received from site to value completed works.


Key Responsibilities

  • You will process measure sheets from subcontractors and project managers.
  • You will process the received information to generate a work completed value each week using a pricing tracker for that project.
  • You will transfer the pricing information onto the Master Tracker each week to facilitate Profit and Loss accounts each week.
  • You will confirm if relevant data returns and as built drawings have been filed in the project folders, and chase project managers if missing.
  • Compile payment applications and combine with correct data and upload to the client portal for approval.
  • Liaise with client engineers over application payments and regular communications to ensure work is signed off and approved.
  • Agree subcontract measures to enable Commercial Admin to process subcontract payments.
  • Attend regular meetings with subcontractors to discuss any commercial issues.
  • Work with the Senior QS / Commercial Manager to prepare weekly P&L reports.
  • You will demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and cost allocation management.
  • You will monitor internal expenditure against budget/cost plans and validating costs posted weekly by the Finance Team
  • You will be highly motivated with have good communication, numeric and computer literacy skills with the ability to work well as part of a team building strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
