Business Analyst – Salford 


The Role

Understand business needs, capturing, analysing, documenting the requirements and ensuring delivery of the requirements to the relevant stakeholders.

Main Duties

  • Interpret business need and translate them into the application and operational requirements with the help of strong analytical and product management skills
  • Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, figuring out opportunities and solutions for the business
  • Communicate the benefits of your recommendations across departments and assist to address any uncertainty
  • Guide stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieving project objectives
  • Manage risks and provide input to risk management process
  • Liaise with other project areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues
  • Create, analyse and validate detailed functional specifications. Produce documentation to support the work, report on findings to present to stakeholders on necessary
  • Deliver work products throughout the project life cycle
  • Oversee all project activities and be the main contact point for stakeholders
  • Responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning and budgeting
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Lead & motivate the project team, monitor activities and project expenditure
  • Utilise project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours and budgets

Experience and Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Management, business and or computer science and / or three years’ equivalent work experience.
  • 6 to 8 years of overall professional experience, of which 5 years in project coordination and Business Analysis with a track record within the utilities industry
  • Knowledge of methodologies for business analysing and improving business systems
  • A analytical mind, able to tackle a problem from different angles and make decisions quickly.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.


Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £40,000.00 to £50,000.00
22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
